About

Jochen Moenig

Based in Düsseldorf, I’ve been working for over 30 years as a freelance illustrator and printmaker, creating bold visual storytelling shaped by music, pop culture and traditional printmaking techniques.
My work spans concert posters, limited edition art prints and commissioned illustration for musicians, publishers and cultural institutions. Strongly influenced by iconic imagery, subculture and collectible print culture, many of my works are designed not only as visual communication, but as objects with lasting presence.
Alongside personal editions and screen printed poster work, selected projects include illustration and visual development for editorial, advertising campaigns and production contexts.
I am a co-founder of Spiegelsaal, a studio dedicated to design, illustration and screen printing, with a strong focus on music-related poster work. I am also a member of the Poster Institute and a founding member of Posterkrauts.
I enjoy collaborating with musicians, publishers, cultural institutions and creative teams where strong ideas and clear visual language come together.
Feel free to get in touch for collaborations and commissioned work.
